Welcome! This is my place to think out loud. Keeping it completely free because I already have a day job and I don’t have anything particularly profound to say yet. Super interested in culture in general with a turn into politics in the last couple of years; that’s really what I want to focus on here.
We are at a unique inflection point in our global culture. I am tying this statement to the effects of the knowledge economy and promise to back this up in subsequent writing. Sadly, we are here with some “really bad old software” – don’t have a lot of good ways of interpreting the rapid changes in the world around us. So I am here to offer some not-so-humble opinions on how to make this software better.
Generally try to support my points with references, (sometimes) citations, and at least some links but too often fall into a weird space between an opinion piece and a research paper. That’s my natural mode that needs to be worked out and challenged. I know it and try to address this by writing in public. A little scary but the best way to get better in any creative field is to do it, a lot :)
As you might have guessed by the name, I am East European by extraction, so while English is pretty much my first language, there are occasionally going to be skipped articles. And who needs those fuckers anyways?!
Why Bubblegum Crisis? Always thought that it’s a cool name for a band.
So yeah, lots of random thoughts on culture and such to come…
